Part 3: True ODM: From “Multiple Choice” to “Fill-in-the-Blank”

Traditional procurement is a “multiple-choice” question—clients choose from a limited set of standardized products. The ODM we provide is a “fill-in-the-blank” and “essay” question.

• “Please meet these parameters”: A client can specify: “We need a 2.5 Inch Bi LED with luminous flux no less than High Lumens, and it must be CE Certified.” We provide a compliant solution based on an existing platform or by initiating a quarterly new mold.

• “Please solve this challenge”: A client can ask: “Our vehicle’s headlamp space is unusual. Can you make a non-standard Custom Bi LED Projector Lens?” Our quarterly R&D resources are capable of undertaking such exploratory projects, from entirely new optical and structural design to tooling and prototyping.

• “Please create unique value for us”: This marks the highest level of ODM collaboration. We co-define the product with the client, for example, jointly developing a Hi-Lo Beam Projector with Super Heat Rejection characteristics, launching it under a co-branded or client-exclusive model.
